Car accident in Midland County leaves one dead this past weekend.
The deadly accident happened on South Coleman Road north of Salt River Road in Greendale Township Saturday afternoon.
Deputies say 19-year-old Jeremiah Lassen of Lake tried to make a sudden turn into a private driveway when he was hit by a car in the process of passing him.
Lassen was airlifted to St. Mary's Hospital in Saginaw where he was later pronounced dead.
The driver of the other car, 39-year-old Tonya Hartupee Armstrong of Mount Pleasant, and her two young passengers were not hurt in the crash.
The accident remains under investigation and alcohol is not suspected to be a factor in the crash.
