Posted: Updated:

Some talented anglers are hitting the St. Mary's River this weekend in the Cabela's Walleye Master Circuit Tournament.

The fishing tournament kicked off this morning in Sault Ste Marie. The first weigh in is happening this evening, but there is a second day of competition tomorrow.

The winners will take home more than $11,000.

Tournament organizers say the upper Peninsula is a favorite spot along the tour because the area is so beautiful and the people are so nice.
