Posted: Updated:

Numerous vehicles were reported broken into in Emmet County.

Emmet County police were called to Brown Motors in Bear Creek Township yesterday for numerous reports of breaking and entering.

They believe the incident happened between the late evening hours on Tuesday and 7:00 am Wednesday.

Sheriff Peter Wallin said the perpetrator removed electronic devices and airbags, the property loss is roughly several thousand dollars.

He also thinks that this wasn't the first time the suspects had done something like this before.

Car dealerships in Gaylord, Cadillac and other areas have also suffered similar car break-ins lately. Detectives are working with other agencies in West Michigan who have had a rash of break-ins at dealerships as well.

Anyone with information regarding the break-ins, you're asked to contact the Emmet County Sheriff's Office.
