UPDATE: Carmike Cinemas Says Bomb Threat Suspect No Longer Threat

Posted: Updated:

The FBI has identified the person responsible for the bomb threat against the Carmike Cinemas last week.

Ludington Harbor Cinemas was evacuated after the home office of Carmike Cinemas received a bomb threat call threatening theaters nationwide.

Atlanta police say someone called in a threat to the Carmike Cinemas' corporate office in Columbus, Georgia, and they believe the caller was a former employee.

Several theaters across the nation that are owned by Carmike Cinemas were closed and searched by Bomb Squad K9 Units.

They said that the suspect is no longer a threat.
