A school in Connecticut proposed a new system to cut down on kids cutting class, bill the parents for every absence.
The plan is to bill the parents $75 every time their child doesn't show up for school. The new superintendent says truancy is a huge problem and it's causing behavioral issues in their town.
The school is also examining a community service option if the student's family can't pay the fine.
Neighbors who live near the school say students cut class and graffiti nearby walls and get into fights.
