UPDATE: Suspect in Questioning About Gladwin County Bank Robbery

Posted: Updated:

Police found the man they were searching for in connection to a Gladwin County bank robbery yesterday.

They found him late last night.

Michael Bodnar was arrested for downstate warrants and was questioned about the robbery at Chemical Bank at the corner of M-61 and M-30 near Gladwin.

No one was hurt, but police say the robber hinted he had a weapon by handing the teller a piece of paper indicating he had a gun. He demanded $100 bills and 50 dollar bills.

Since then deputies have been tracking footprints and gathering witness accounts as they try to find the robber.

Deputies say the man who robbed the bank is about 5 foot 8 inches, with a mustache, thin build, tan skinned, appearing to be in his 20's.

He was wearing a dirty white Detroit Tigers baseball hat, green sweatshirt and dark pants and sunglasses at that time. The pictures to the left are of the man accused of robbing the bank.

They still haven't called Bodnar a suspect, and insist they are just questioning him.
