The Charlevoix-Emmet ISD's Local College Access Network launched an exciting new program today designed to provide affordable access to college for high school students.
The hope is to increase the number of high school students making the jump to the next level.
The program offers college credit to students still in high school.
The college courses are taught by high school teachers who have been accredited by a community college.
Last year the program teamed with Baker College, Ferris State University and North Central Michigan College to offer classes at a discounted $25 per credit hour.
