Sara and Jeff Tow set out Tuesday morning to swim across Lake Michigan to raise awareness for postpartum depression. Their journey ended Wednesday in Ludington.
Team Tow trained for more than a year, creating 'through the blue' an organization to better lives and educate people about perinatal mood disorders.
They swam the distance, more than 50 miles, but a current exhausted Sara and Jeff forcing them out of the water before they could get to shore.
But to them, making the historic swim was only part of the quest.
