Wanted Alpena Suspect Caught in Grand Traverse County

Deputies in Grand Traverse County arrested a man wanted in Alpena for failing to register as a sex offender.
Alpena Police thought Tre Pierce may be hiding out in Grand Traverse County.
Last night, deputies received a call for shoplifting at a store in Kingsley, when they arrived, people told police the man responsible was staying in a tent nearby.
That man turned out to be Pierce.
He tried to run from deputies but was tasered and arrested.
