It might seem like just another day in the shop -- but for one automotive mechanic, today is anything but ordinary.
Ken Featherly is back under the hood, just weeks after a fire destroyed part of his auto repair shop.
Today, he officially re-opened Featherly's Auto and Truck at a new location in Charlevoix.
It's all come together quite remarkably -- one of Ken's friends is letting him work out of an empty building, and surprisingly, he's been able to salvage many of the tools that were caught in the fire.
Ken says encouragement from both the community and his family have helped make his return to repairs all possible.
"Everybody in this town -- when someone has a problem, there are there for ya. And I love this town," said Ken.
He says it's a just a temporary shop.
He's going to start rebuilding a new one, once he works everything out with the insurance company.
