Brass Flag Holders for Civil War Veterans Stolen from Mecosta County Cemetery

One of a kind flag holders were stolen from a Mecosta County cemetery.
Mecosta County deputies are investigating the theft of 12-13 brass flag holders for the Civil War veterans at Highland View Cemetery in Big Rapids Township.
The theft happened sometime last week between the 5th and 14th of August.
The police were informed that the flag holders are the last of their kind and are no longer being made.
