It's a college town ritual, anxiously awaiting the return of college students. Businesses in Mount Pleasant are looking forward to the influx of people in town.
Some students are already back for the school year and even more are on their way in the next two weeks.
Local businesses say revenue is steady during the summer but they really depend on the rush of students coming back in town. This provides employment opportunities for both students and year-round residents of Mount Pleasant.
