Feedback at 5:00- Stronger Junk Food Regulations in Michigan Schools?

Medical researchers say laws curbing the sale of junk food and sugary drinks could play a role in slowing childhood obesity.

The study in the Journal Pediatrics shows children gained less weight from 5th to 8th grade if they live in states with strong laws governing snacks in schools.

Children considered overweight or obese in the 5th grade were also more likely to reach a healthy weight by the 8th grade.
