Suspect Assaults Deputy and Escapes Custody in Clare County

The Clare County Sheriff's Department tells us Charles Girardin escaped custody earlier today while a deputy tried arresting him for outstanding warrants.
Girardin is still on the run and is now wanted for assault on a deputy and destruction of police property.
If you have seen him or have any information, you're asked to call the Clare County Sheriff's Department.
