Feedback at 5:00- Children Car Safety Restraints

Posted: Updated:

New research shows many children are still not using age appropriate safety restraints when buckling up in cars.

Many others are still put at risk by riding in the front seat.

Children are supposed to stay in the back seat facing backwards until age two.

They're not supposed to rise in the front seat until age 13.

New findings from the University of Michigan show kids rarely sit facing backwards after age one and are often in the front seat after seven years old.

For tonight's "Feedback at 5:00," what do you think of the regulations? Do you follow them?
