Christmas Tree Farms Not Happy With Hot, Dry Summer

It may be August but some local farmers are thinking December.

Each April Christmas Tree seedlings go into the ground, farmers say they need an average of one inch of rain per week but this summer it just hasn't happened.

Thousands of trees have died and at one dollar per seedling, the loss isn't easy.  

9&10's Kalin Franks and photojournalist Eric Davis took a deeper look today at the Christmas Tree crop and what it'll mean for the holidays.
