Summer 2012 One For The Record Books for Area Businesses

A few summers ago, businesses in downtown Petoskey say people were spending less, and buying not for themselves, but only gifts for others.

Today, that has changed.

Summer of 2012 around the area is expected to be one for the record books for hotels, businesses, shops and restaurants. Last weekend in the Petoskey area not one hotel room was available.

Streets a busy and shop owners are ecstatic, saying today's climate is different than the summers during the recession.

9&10's Kalin Franks and Eric Davis spent the day talking with businesses about the good news.
