Mackinac Bridge Traffic Up, Meaning Business Increase to Nearby Cities
Summer is the most popular travel time of the year in Michigan.
With perfect weather and a rebounding economy, the Mackinac Bridge is seeing more people and better numbers.
The Bridge Authority says right now they are at a 2% increase from last year, which means an estimated 120,000 additional people visiting the straits area.
9&10's Kalin Franks and photojournalist Eric Davis visited the bridge today and nearby St. Ignace and Mackinaw City to get a first hand look at the impact this successful season is having on the economy.
