UPDATE: Sikh Temple Shooting in Wisconsin

UPDATE: Police say this army veteran is the shooter who barged into a Wisconsin Sikh Temple--killing SIX inside.

The man's name is Wade Michael Page, who was less than honorably discharged in 1989.

The shooting began around 10:30 AM Sunday morning, at the Temple in Oak Creek, as worshippers arrived for services.

Police say when officers arrived on scene, Page ambushed an officer, shooting him 9 times.

A second officer shot and killed the suspect.

Family members say the president of the church died trying to fight the shooter.

Two other worshipers and the injured officer are in the hospital recovering from gunshot wounds.

Investigators are now looking into whether this was a hate crime.
