Beat The Pro: Manistee National Golf and Resort

Posted: Updated:

MANISTEE - Manistee National Golf and Resort isn't just for playing a round of 18.  It also hosts weddings and special events.  However for those golf-lovers, the resort has a practice putting green just outside the hotel.

With a name like Manistee National, the golf course is obviously cut along the forest.  So the resort embraces the logging theme through the names of the courses: Canthooke Valley and Cutters Ridge.  A cutter was a lumberjack and a canthooke is a hooking and pulling tool.

Jeff Johnson has more on the Canthooke Valley with another edition of Beat The Pro.
