A Mecosta County man is dead after he was thrown from his motorcycle during an accident Saturday near Barryton.
Deputies say the accident happened around 2:45 this afternoon on 30th Avenue near 22 Mile Road.
After their investigation, deputies say the victim, 48 year old Michael Harvell of Stanwood, and a companion, were riding separate motorcycles northbound on 30th avenue when they were unable to avoid a vehicle that was turning left from the northbound lane.
The other motorcycle rider, a woman, and the driver of the vehicle, were transported to Mecosta County Medical Center for treatment of non-life threatening injuries.
