The Patriot Guard Riders stood proud, bearing flags, awaiting Sergeant Hansen's arrival home. A homecoming fit for a hero.
Hundreds lined the streets from Traverse City to Kingsley. A sight leaving many in tears. Something valued here in northern Michigan: friendship, and support. It's extra special in times like this.
Though it never gets easy, Sergeant Hansen's family can have some peace knowing his courage is appreciated, and remembered.
Visitation for Sergeant Hansen will be tomorrow at 11:00 a.m. at Kingsley High School. His funeral begins at 1:00 p.m.
