Gas Prices Shoot Up Across Northern Michigan

If you've filled up your gas tank lately--then you've no doubt noticed the price hike.

Triple-A Michigan says gasoline prices rose about 39 cents during the past week.

Right now, the statewide average is just shy of 4-bucks.

Overall, the average is about 20 cents per gallon more than last year at this time.

Triple-A says the price is the third-highest average in the nation, behind Hawaii and Illinois.
