Summer seems to be flying by, so before school starts up again, NMC Aviation is hosting a one-of-a-kind camp for the kids!
The new aviation camp gives youth age 8 to 19 a chance to learn about the world of flight.
Kids will be able to interact with local pilots and members of Coast Guard Air Station Traverse City.
And to round out the flight camp experience, campers will soar the skies in a small aircraft.
Organizers hope the event gets young people excited about aviation.
Alex Jokich and Stephanie Adkins were live at NMC's Aviation Hangar in Traverse City with a preview of the two-day camp.
(The Grand Traverse Youth Aviation Camp is a two-day event, running Saturday, August 4th and Saturday, August 11th. The camp is free to the public. For more information or to pre-register, click on the link posted on the left.)
