UPDATE: Beach Closures and Advisories in Northern Michigan

Brimley State Park and Pendills Creek beaches are closed to recreational swimming due to high levels of bacteria.
The Chippewa County Health Department has closed these beaches as a result of elevated levels of E. coli. People should avoid body contact with these waters.
Environmental Health staff will continue to monitor the water quality every day.
