Hart Man Dies After His Car Hits Side of Airport Hanger

A man from Hart was killed after his car left the roadway slamming into an airport hanger in Shelby Township.
The 80-year-old man was driving eastbound on Baseline Road around 1:00 in the afternoon when his car left the roadway, drove through a fence and then crashed into an airport hanger.
The man was transported to Lakeshore Hospital in Shelby where he was pronounced dead.
Police believe alcohol was not a factor in the crash and he was wearing a seatbelt at the time of the crash.
Police are continuing to investigate the incident to figure out what caused the crash.
