Feedback at 5:00-Tobacco Ban on College Campuses

Posted: Updated:

Higher education officials in Ohio hope the state will ban all tobacco use on it's campuses.

They are also calling for a ban on sales and advertising.

The state health department says it will help universities and colleges implement tobacco-free policies, though the decision will ultimately be up to each institution's board of trustees.

The department says a ban will cut costs for educational institutions and benefit smokers and non-smokers.

Bans on tobacco use, advertising and sales are on the rise across the country.

Would you support a college campus ban on tobacco here in Michigan? Why or why not? It's tonight's "Feedback at 5:00."
