One Local Woman's Mission To Help the Children Of Afghanistan

We often hear of the tragedies Americans face when in the Afghanistan war zone.
But one woman is trying to help afghan civilians, specifically the children of Afghanistan.
A Lake Leelanau woman recognized a need and organized a clothing drive at her church with a goal of collecting two-thousand pounds of winter coats and clothes.
The students at Saint Mary's school stepped up and donated double that amount.
Now with the help of United States aid for international development it's all bound for Afghanistan.
