CMU Student Sent to Family Following Death Threats

Posted: Updated:

A female Central Michigan University student in Mt. Pleasant got the life threatening calls Saturday and reported them to campus police.

As more information was gathered police decided to remove the student from campus and for her own safety while the investigation continues.

Police sent out emails to all students notifying them of the threats and what can be done.

Even then, as they dug deeper police didn't truly believe CMU was in any danger but the student was removed as a precaution.

9&10's Eric Lloyd and photojournalist Tony Zyber were on campus today and have more details.
