Big Rapids Community Library Hoping to Raise Enough Money for Renovation Project

Posted: Updated:

The Big Rapids Community Library renovation team kicks off its fundraising campaign.

The overall goal for the Big Rapids Library renovations is $860,000.

With nearly $325,000 already saved for the project, the new goal sits at $525,000.

The library also plans to apply for project funding through the state, federal and private organizations.

With the renovations, they hope to re-enforce the upstairs flooring along with open up space and re-organize to make the library more user friendly.

The first fundraising event takes place tomorrow night at Buffalo Wild Wings in Big Rapids.

When customers bring a coupon in, 20% of bills throughout the day go toward the library's renovations. You can pick up the coupon at Big Rapids City Hall, the library or online on their facebook page.
