Preventing Power Loss in the Heat

As the heat continues power crews are working to ensure you don't lose electricity.  

The combination of increased power use and heat on equipment puts a lot of stress on power systems.

Power companies throughout northern Michigan are monitoring usage and equipment temperatures 24-hours-a-day to ensure there isn't a blackout.  They also use cooling systems and fans on equipment to ensure power to their customers.  It's the customers cooling off that increases power usage significantly.
