Summers are a big part of tourism in our state, but the weather is not the only thing that brings people to our region.
A new 5 year strategic plan is in place to help generate more tourism in Michigan, and an expert from Michigan State University who came to Bellaire today says it's working.
The goals were put in place in March.
They include helping grow Michigan's economy through tourism by bringing people in from around the country, and securing return visits.
