Over the past week, a man on parole was repeatedly stealing items from the Glens Market in Traverse City.
Officers were called to a theft in progress at Glens Market but when they showed up the suspect ran.
They located the suspect at Washington Street and Prospect Street.
The suspect, Michael Leask, was wearing a Michigan Department of Corrections ankle tether from Lansing.
He is on parole for 3rd offense, felony operating while intoxicated.
Leask is being held at the Grand Traverse County Jail for retail fraud, 2nd offense, and for being a parole absconder.
