Region's Farmers and Fruit Growers Continue to Battle Through Inconsistent Weather Conditions

Posted: Updated:

Frank Lipinski has plowed his fields for years; but, experience can only do so much these days. Frost, hail, hot weather, and no rain; farmers have battled the elements all year.

The cherry crop was the first to go, it fell victim to frost, and the apples couldn't withstand the inconsistent temperatures. Now, Lipinski's sweet corn is in trouble.

For our farmers, their crop pays the bills. They can't control the weather or what's already happened this year; but, what they're trying to get a better grasp on is how they're going to plan for next year.
