Arlene Brennan pours her heart into Traverse Health Clinic, serving the uninsured; but lately, it's been tough. Over the next three to five years, the clinic expects patients' services to cost upwards of one million dollars. That's where Munson Medical Center comes in, with $300,000.
Munson says if there was no clinic, patients would end up in the hospital's emergency room, something the clinic patients just can't afford.
There are plenty of people depending on the clinic to survive, especially as the health care reform law is implemented and more questions arise.
