6:00PM: Sechselauten Celebration - The Courthouse bells ring out inviting everyone in the Alpine Village to come to the Alpenstrasse for the opening of the 48th annual Alpenfest.

6:05PM: Official Opening of Alpenfest

7:00PM:Wurst Wagon

7:00PM: Alpenfest Queen's Pageant– Live on the Alpenstage. Free admission.

7:30PM: Lampion Making Contest– Make your Lampion for the parade! On the Courthouse lawn.

9:30PM: Burning of the Boogg– Put your troubles on paper, slip them inside the Boogg and watch them go up in smoke! Trouble slips located at the base of the Boogg.

10:00PM: Teen Dance - Under the pavilion.

 

WEDNESDAY, July 18

9:00AM: Alpenfest Costume Parade

9:30AM: Die Groeste Kaffe Pause– "The World's Largest Coffee Break". Under the Pavilion. Free with Alpenfest

10:00AM: Ladies Ankle Contest– Who has the fairest ankles in all the land? On the Alpenstage.

11:00AM: Men's Ankle Contest– On the Alpenstage.

12:00PM: Pontresina Suppen Mahlzeit– Our original Pontresina soup recipe. Free (while it lasts) with your 2012 Alpenfest  pin. $5 without the Alpenfest. Under the Pavilion.

12:00PM: Concert-Young Americans– This annual Alpenfest favorite returns to the Alpenstage! On the Alpenstage. Free admission.

1:00PM: Concert- Margaret Madagame

under the Pavilion on Court Street.

9:00am: 33^rd ANNUAL ALPENFEST RUN – 5k Run starts at 9:00,

10k Run starts about 9:10. Start and end under the Pavilion.

9:00am: 3 ON 3 HOCKEY TOURNAMENT

9:00am ALPENFEST FUN RUN – Run the parade route. Starting at

2nd Street and Illinois.

9am-5pm: 15th ANNUAL NORTHERN MICHIGAN ARTIST GUILD'S

ART SHOW- Located at the First United Methodist Church at Second and Center St.

Noon: ALPENFEST GRAND PARADE

2:00pm: PETOSKEY STEEL DRUM BAND performing under the pavilion after parade.

3:00pm: STRUDEL ON THE STRASSE –Under the Pavilion.

2:00PM: ART ON WHEELS – Art for children with disabilities and other as well. Draw next to the main stage! 

2:00PM: FAIRY TALE PRINCESS SHOW
