Problems aren't over yet for a former corrections officer recently sentenced for trying to bring marijuana into a Chippewa County prison.
Since the April arrest, stemming from the incident at Kinross Correctional Facility, Todd Sauro is now charged with possession with intent to deliver heroin.
Sauro is already serving his 11 month jail sentence for planning to deliver marijuana and conspiring to bring contraband to a prison.
He pleaded guilty to both those charges.
But the prosecutor says lab results recently came back showing he also had heroin.
Sauro's attorney is trying to get this most recent charge dropped, saying it violates the double jeopardy clause.
