People Travel From All Over the World to Take in the National Cherry Festival

Posted: Updated:

From Buenos Aires to Benzie County, this pin board is a measuring stick for the global attraction that is the National Cherry Festival. Once upon a time, there was a map just for our region, then all of Michigan, then the country, now, lo and behold...the whole world. There's pins from downstate, and down under.

With camera in tow, Elaine Lemp is taking everything in that's cherry, and Tracy Parkinson is no stranger to northern Michigan, she's a Grayling native, back to visit.

With cherries just about everywhere, their favorite treats vary from barbeque sauce to traditional cherry pie. What about this weather? It's hot, but it doesn't matter to these folks, they're just enjoying the visit.
