Traverse City Man Brought to the Ground After Police Say he Resisted Arrest

Posted: Updated:

It looks out of place, but this all unfolded in Traverse City. Officers heard Kyle Krawczyk yelling obscenities downtown last night while he was selling cd's. Police say it grabbed the attention of nearly ten witnesses, including one woman and her family.

Lucas Krawczyk, Krawczyk's brother wasn't there when this was all happening.

Police tell us they asked multiple times for him to quiet down, he wouldn't listen. So, they used a taser; a big crowd was forming, scary for police.

Police thought they had the situation under control, they walked him to a patrol car; but, it wasn't over. Krawczyk's brother tried to hit an officer, and was also arrested. Both men will go in front of a judge tomorrow morning.

As for the claim of police brutality, Captain Steve Morgan says the amount of force they used was appropriate for this situation.
