UPDATE: Isabella Co. Man Accused of Abusing Boy Before He Died, Now Indicted

We now have an update on an Isabella County man accused of hurting 4-year-old Carnel Chamberlain weeks before he died.
Anthony Bennett has been indicted by a Federal Grand Jury for assaulting the boy on the Saginaw Chippewa Indian Reservation near Mount Pleasant, that's where the little boy's body was found.
The indictment, filed Wednesday, replaces a temporary assault charge that has kept Bennett in jail.
Bennett was watching Carnel June 21, the day he disappeared.
Volunteers helped search and on June 28 they found Carnel's body buried and burned under the house where they both lived.
