Group Raising Money to Beautify Mt. Pleasant Gateway

The High St. Bridge is quite an eyesore for travelers traveling to and from Mt. pleasant.

The railroad bridge is missing a good amount of it's paint and the bare metal has given away to rust.

MDOT owns the bridge and since it is structurally sound, does not have any plans to paint it for 15-20 years.

Now, a group of residents are raising the money to paint it themselves and are about a third of the way to their goal.
