Area fire departments built two structures that may look like the inside of a normal home, but they're not. For Heroes' Day here at the National Cherry Festival, some local heroes, area fire departments set these buildings on fire...on purpose.
The space with no help from indoor sprinklers burned for nearly five minutes when crews had to intervene; but next door, the sprinklers put out the fire in just about one minute. A resource that doesn't cost much, but keeps you safe in an emergency.
