UPDATE: Man Charged with Drunk Driving Leading to Death of Passenger

The Montmorency County prosecutor charged a man with driving drunk in Albert Township, leading to the death of Kara Cassisi.

Investigators say Cassisi was the passenger in a pick-up truck, driven by Zachary Vogt.

The crash happened April 30, 2012.

Vogt went to the hospital, but survived.

Kara's family asked that money be donated to the Elk Country Animal Shelter in Atlanta, in Cassisi's honor.

In June, the shelter honored her memory with a plaque.
