U.S. Coast Guard and Navy Aircrafts Arrive in Traverse City for National Cherry Festival Air Show

Posted: Updated:

Some serious machinery just landed in northern Michigan in time for the National Cherry Festival Air Show. Two Navy F-18's and the Coast Guard C-130 aircraft arrived at the Coast Guard Air Station in Traverse City, today. All three will fly in this weekend's air shows at the National Cherry Festival with the Black Diamond Jet Team, and Team RV.

They're not here often, and the Coast Guard says it's exciting to have military aircraft visit northern Michigan.

Tomorrow morning, Coast Guard Air Station Traverse City is having an "open ramp" from 8:00-10:00. The public is welcome to take a closer look at the impressive aircraft.
