Fireworks in the Cherry Capital are expected to be bigger and better than last year. The Traverse City Boom Boom Club is a group that raises money for the city's fireworks show. This year, their budget was about $45,000. With all the donations, they've raised about $10,000 more than that, giving them a head start for next year.
The fireworks are prepped and ready, they will be set off tonight from West Bay. Those who donated to the fireworks show will have a front row seat in a VIP section. You can still get tickets to the Boom Boom Club tent, it's $25 a person at the open space.
