Drivers Hit Michigan Roads for the Fourth of July

Posted: Updated:

More than 1.4 million people will travel in Michigan for the holiday, according to AAA.

On Tuesday, people driving through Cadillac saw more cars on the road, but say it was not as busy as last year.

State troopers say because the Fourth is on a Wednesday, traffic started last Friday and is being spread out over several days.

The Michigan State Police want drivers to stay safe and keep an eye out for motorcycles.

Troopers say you should give yourself more time to get to your destination.

9 and 10's Kyle Mitchell and photojournalist Tony Zyber have more on the holiday traffic.
