Mecosta County House Fire under investigation as suspicious

Investigators in Mecosta County are looking into what they was a suspicious house fire Friday night.

They got the call shortly before seven p.m. for the structure on M-20, just north of Nine Mile Road in Morton Township.

The Morton Township Fire Department extinguished the fire.

The single family home was unoccupied at the time, and no one was hurt, but the fire investigation team is asking anyone with information on the fire to contact the Mecosta County Sheriff's Office at 231-592-0150 or by e-mail at tips@co.mecosta.mi.us.
