High school students study for years to ensure they're ready for the next step...college; and, the Michigan Merit Exam is a big determining factor. Students are tested each spring in five subjects.
The entire Traverse Bay Area Intermediate School District fell slightly short of last year's numbers in writing and social studies; still well above the state average. Students excelled in reading, and maintained scores in math.
Although TCAPS results are above the statewide average, the Associate Superintendent says they're going to keep working toward higher scores.
