Child Care Connections Closing Due to Lack of Funding

Posted: Updated:

Pam Ward has been an advocate for families and daycare providers with Child Care Connections for more than 15 years. For 32 years, the non-profit found proper child care for parents, and provided resources to daycare's; things like toys, training, and even food. They have now lost what keeps them up and running, the Federal funding went to someone else.

Alison Burns is a child care provider who's used many of the non-profit's resources, and she's sad to see them go.

Over the past 30 years, the non-profit has accumulated thousands of items, they're now selling those and the money will go toward a scholarship fund. The organization who received the funding will take over some, but not all of those duties; but many don't think it will be the same.

Child Care Connections will completely shut down at the end of this week. For more information on buying items for the scholarship fund sale, call: (231) 941-7767
