Hook & Hunting: Leftover Bear Hunting Licenses

The DNR announced that the leftover bear hunting licenses for 2012 will be available for purchase in July.

They say there are 224 leftover licenses available in the Bergland Management Unit, September 25-October 26.

You can buy them online or at any license agent on a first-come, first-served basis.

Criteria: Holders of Lifetime Comprehensive Licenses, who were not selected in the drawing, may purchase a leftover license beginning at 10am July 9. Unsuccessful applicants may purchase a leftover license beginning at 10am July 16. Any hunter may purchase a leftover license beginning at 10am July 23.

Results of the drawing for the 2012 bear hunting licenses have been posted online at www.michigan.gov/huntdrawings.
